Q.  Should I get my ducts cleaned?  How often should I have my ducts cleaned?

Dirty and dusty ductwork that we found! Don't circulate this through your home! Schedule your duct cleaning today! If you do not know the last time you got your ducts cleaned, chances are they probably look as bad or worse than the picture to the left. Now your furnace filter's job is to catch all the dirt and dust before it circulates back into your home. But your filter does not stop the mold growth and does not remove allergens and other particles that sit in your ductwork.
Valley uses the RotoBrush Duct Cleaning Method. We use an easily portable vacuum (pod) and hose and brush system to get in all the crevices and parts or your ductwork.
Process:
We clean your registers, inside all ducts (supply and return), inside the furnace/blower, and also use a anti-microbial fogger to deter mold growth in your ductwork. The entire proces usually takes about 4 hours.
How often should you get your ducts cleaned?
There is no exact amount of time between duct cleans that we suggest. If you recently remodeled, did in-home construction projects, or simply decided to do some "spring" cleaning, duct cleaning is a good idea to consider.
I don't think you want the inside of your ducts to look like that picture!

·Sleep Timer - automatically adjusts the temperature while you sleep to ensure comfort.

·24 Hour Timer - allows for one on/off cycle during a 24-hour period.

·Dry Mode - helps reduce humidity levels when cooling requirements are low.

·Auto Mode - system starts in high fan speed and automatically adjusts downward as room begins to reach desired temperature.

·Quiet Mode - an extra quiet fan speed to make sure you are not disturbed.

·Auto Restart/Reset - following a power failure, systems will automatically restart in the same operating mode as before power loss.

·Low Ambient - can operate in cooling mode even when outdoor ambient is 0o, 14o, or 32oF,

·Cold Prevention - indoor coil will warm prior to fan operating, preventing cold air during heat mode.

·Apple Catechin Filter - dust, mold spores, and microorganisms are absorbed onto the filter by static electricity and growth is inhibited and deactivated.

·Ion Deodorizing Filter - Deodorizes by decomposing absorbed odors using the oxidizing and reducing effects of ions generated by fine ceramic particles.

·Coil Dry Mode - After power is off, an internal drying function starts preventing the growth of mold and bacteria inside the indoor unit.

Q. Do I need to winterize my Air Conditioner/Condensing Unit?

A.  You do not need to do too much to get your condenser ready for winter.  We suggest spraying fan blades and fins to get dirt and debris out of condenser.

Do I need to winterize my Air Conditioner/Condensing Unit?

After the condensing unit dries out after spraying it down, cover it with a condenser cover or tarp.

Q.  How long should I run "dry mode" and "coild dry mode" for my Fujitsu Mini-Split System?

When your Fujitsu Mini Split is set to "Dry Mode" it controls the humidity levels when cooling your home may not be needed.

The "Coil Dry Mode" is used when the power is off; an internal drying function starts preventing the growth of mold and bacteria inside the indoor unit.

Q. Can an Air Exchanger/Heat Recovery Ventilator reduce my energy bills?

A.  Unfortunately the answer is no. The purpose of air to air exchangers is to bring fresh air from the outside into your home. It is electric. It will help move stale old air outside and slightly dehumudify in the process.

Q. What is a "pre-filter" for an Air Exchanger?
A.  The Pre-filter on Air Exchangers is the filter that removes the large particles before the air would pass through a HEPA Filtration system which removes 99.97% of all micro-particles and allergens.

Q.  What is Ultra-Violet Light Filtration?  Why should I consider UV Light to clean the air in my home?

A.  Honeywell Ultra-Violet Light Filtration
Honeywell Single Lamp UV Light Honeywell Single Lamp UV Light

How Ultraviolet Light Works

Ultraviolet light possesses just the right amount of energy to break organic molecular bonds. As micro-organisms pass by the UV rays radiated from the ultraviolet lamp, this bond breakage translates into cellular or genetic damage for micro-organisms, such as germs, viruses, bacteria, fungi (like molds), etc. This results in the destruction of the micro-organisms.

Why?

Easy Installation

We install the UV Light Lamp System into your duct work, when the air passes near the light, it instantly destroys the bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, and more.

Great Results

Enjoy a cleaner envirorment and healthier home for you and your family. Cut down on doctor visits and health problems caused by in home pollution!

Q.  How often do I change my HEPA Filter, Carbon/charcoal Filter, and my Pre-Filter on my HEPA Filtration System?

A. Changing the filters on my HEPA Filter

The great part about HEPA Filtration is that is removes 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. Another great part is that you only have to change the HEPA Filter every 2-3 years and the Carbon Filter every 2-3 years.

The Pre-filter should be changed every 3 months of so. The picture below shows what each filter is.
